At the heart of our kitchen is Chef Ron Medlock, whose journey began in a big Puerto Rican household in Connecticut. Summers spent on the island, surrounded by family, backyard gardens, and open-air barbecues, shaped his deep appreciation for food as a source of comfort and joy. As a child, Ron would follow his grandfather around the kitchen, listening to old Spanish boleros and watching as simple and fresh ingredients turned into meals that brought generations together. It was in those moments that food became more than nourishment—it became memory, culture, and love. "My grandfather made me associate food with love and family," Chef Ron recalls. "During the hardest times in life, food was always an instrument of solace."
